The Malaysia Team DanceSport Championship is the first of the six series MDSB ranking championship to be use to grade the best dance sport athletes from the nation represent Malaysia in IOC and OCM sanctioned games. As organizers of many dance sport championships, this inaugural championship, convened with the purpose that firstly to have a ranking selection for dance sport athletes, and secondly to encourage social dancers, to take up dancing as a competitive sport.

This is an historical moment for this silver state PERAK where for the first time an International Championship has been organizes here with such grand colorful atmosphere and gathering and by judging tonight's attendance and the supports given by the dancing fraternity this championship are bound to be an annual event in the Perak tourism yearly calender.
